Multi-site & International IT

One team runs every site, in the UK and overseas: standard builds, new openings, office moves, and the coordination between head office and the branches.

What it is

A company with more than one site has one IT problem, not several: an office, a laboratory or a warehouse all have to operate like one, on one set of systems, whatever the time zone. We have run that shape of business since 2006, from branch offices to oil rigs, and it is one of the things we are known for.

The method is unglamorous. A standard build for every site. Lines ordered before anyone needs them. The same monitoring everywhere. One contact for head office, and someone local who can turn up. Then documentation, kept current, because sites change hands and people move on.

Head office abroad, branch in London

Many of our clients are the London or UK office of a group based somewhere else. Their head-office IT team sets the standards; we run the site to them, join the calls at their hours, and make sure that when a device is bought, a line is installed or a starter joins, head office can see it without asking.

Who it is for
  • A London head office with regional sites that should all work the same way.
  • The UK branch of an overseas head office, where the local team has to work with the global one.
  • Companies opening a site, closing one, or moving office.
What is included

In plain words

  • A standard build for every site, so a user in one office is at home in another
  • New-site openings and office moves, planned and done, including out of hours
  • Networking between sites and the lines that connect them
  • Fibre, broadband and DNS for each location, with the supplier dealt with
  • Coordination with head office across time zones; local hands where needed
  • Supplier management in each country; one contact, one report
  • Documentation that survives staff changes

How it shows up day to day

Every site, device and line is in the portal, wherever it is. Head office can see the whole estate; each site sees its own; requests and approvals move between them without email chains.

Senior engineer

Designs the site standard and is on the plane when it matters.

Assistant

Tracks every device in every site, orders the kit, books the line install, keeps the runbook current.

The same job, both sides. An engineer decides; the assistant does the running around.

Questions

Questions people ask

Which countries do you cover?
Today we run sites for clients across Europe, the US, Japan, the Middle East, Asia and Africa. The standard build travels; where hands are needed on the ground, we arrange and manage them.
Our head office has its own IT team. How does that work?
Well, usually. We run the London or UK side to their standards, join their calls, and give them one accountable contact instead of a ticket queue.
Do you handle office moves?
Yes, in defined steps: understand the current set-up, plan the contingency for anything that could stall, order the lines early, label and move the kit, bring the network up before the desks arrive, test and commission everything, then decommission the old site properly. Out of hours or over a weekend where that keeps the business running.
